The Largest Cryptocurrency is Bitcoin, But It Does Not Have the Most Wallets! Here Are the Altcoins That Users Hold the Most
Crypto analysis company Santiment shared updated data regarding the number of holders of leading cryptoassets during a period when the crypto markets are attempting a rise. The data reveals that investor interest continues to grow over time.
The price of Bitcoin has managed to exceed 108,000 dollars again today, approaching the all-time high price level record.
According to the assessment published by Santiment, the crypto asset with the highest number of wallets is Ethereum (ETH). The total number of ETH holders was recorded at 148.38 million. It is followed by Bitcoin (BTC) with 55.39 million wallets.
The other notable altcoins and their number of holders are listed as follows:
One reason for the large number of wallet holders holding Ethereum is that, in fact, the gas fees required to move all Ethereum-based cryptocurrencies on the chain can only be paid in ETH. This means that many wallets hold at least enough ETH to cover the gas fees.
