Floki Teams Up with Nottingham Forest to Empower Kids Through Football and Blockchain | BSCN (fka BSC News)
Floki announced sponsorship of the “Play on the Pitch” event, part of the Premier League Primary Stars program. The event will take place on June 16, 2025, at The City Ground, the home stadium of Nottingham Forest Football Club.
This move continues Floki’s consistent strategy of blending community-building, brand visibility, and global outreach. At the center of it all is Valhalla, its flagship metaverse game, set to launch on mainnet just two weeks after the event.
Football Meets Blockchain in a Big Way
The “Play on the Pitch” initiative is led by Nottingham Forest Community Trust, the charitable arm of the historic football club. The event will host 40 primary school students from four schools across Nottingham, giving them the rare opportunity to play a friendly football tournament on a Premier League pitch.
The program is part of Premier League Primary Stars, a nationally recognized initiative that uses football to inspire children to be active and learn life skills like ambition, fairness, and teamwork. With Floki’s sponsorship, this year’s edition is getting a digital upgrade.
All participants will wear custom kits featuring Floki branding, while LED boards around the stadium will promote Floki’s play-to-earn metaverse game Valhalla. Children will also receive a big-screen video message from Nottingham Forest players.
According to Floki, the move reflects a deep-rooted belief in using its brand and resources to empower the next generation. In recent months, Floki has supported blockchain education, metaverse innovation, and grassroots community projects.
This “Play on the Pitch” event is another example of Floki’s broader mission to become “The People’s Crypto.”
On June 30, 2025, just two weeks after the football event, Floki will launch Valhalla on mainnet. This launch marks the next chapter in Floki’s development as a fully operational crypto project offering MMORPG gameplay, DeFi integrations, and user-owned digital economies.

The Play on the Pitch sponsorship came just one day after Floki revealed another major partnership—this time with the Baroda Premier League 2025 in India. The cricket league, backed by the Baroda Cricket Association, will serve as a talent incubator for young cricketers across the country.
