PANews, June 17th news, Slow Fog has issued a security warning: Potential suspicious activities related to Meta Pool have been detected, with the root cause being that the deposit function has been rewritten, allowing for arbitrary minting through the mint function without the need to transfer tokens. PANews June 17 report, according to security agency TenArmor monitoring, Meta Pool suffered an attack on the Ethereum network, resulting in a loss of approximately $130,000. The attacker exploited a vulnerability in the mint() function of the mpETH pool to mint mpETH tokens without depositing real ETH assets. Additionally, MEV frontrunner Yoink was also involved in this attack.
