zcashd 6.0.0 has been released, which will deploy NU6 and introduce a new development fund at the next Zcash Halving.
ECC announced the activation of the NU6 network upgrade at block height 2726400 around November 23, 2024, deploying a new Zcash development fund and a lockbox, with a portion of the issuance earmarked for future decentralized grants funding, managed by a mechanism determined by the future community. As part of this upgrade, some teams are deploying or have already updated ZIP 207, 214, 236, 253, 1015, and 2001.
