Today is the 110th day of taking orders in Gate, and I have been on the list of star traders for more than a month, and I have been on the other largest platform for almost 1 and a half years, and I have seen too many ups and downs of lead traders.
1. Choose a long lead in copy trading time, this is the most important. It is best to be greater than 180 days; those less than 90 days do not need to be considered. If the time is long, it is better to wait and let the bullets fly for a while.
2. Data speaks for itself; don't listen to what the lead trader in copy trading says, but rather look at the actual performance of the lead in copy trading data. Some people can talk a big game, even finding a bunch of pseudonyms to brag, so if you see bad data, please exit directly and don’t waste your breath arguing.
3. Choose lead traders in copy trading who have a relatively large margin themselves. Be cautious of those who only take out 1000 or 2000 to lead in copy trading, as it indicates they do not have confidence in their own strategy. Although the data may look good in the short term due to luck, it can explode at any time.
4. Be cautious of short-term high yields, such as 100% in a month, or even higher. High returns are inevitably accompanied by high risks, and the opportunity cost is too great. Of course, those who like to take a gamble can give it a try, but only with money they can afford to lose.
5. If the amount of the lead in copy trading is large, but the profits of the followers are small or even negative, it indicates that there is a certain problem with the strategy itself, such as large slippage and trading some coins with poor liquidity, resulting in the trader making money while the followers lose money.
What kind of lead trading style do you all prefer? Or are there any tips to avoid pitfalls that can be shared and discussed!
