Plasma has now reached the deposit limit of 500 million USD.

On June 9, according to official data, the stablecoin project Plasma has now hit the $500 million deposit cap. Deposits earn yield on Aave and Maker through Veda's audited vault contracts (with a total locked volume of over $2.6 billion). After the lock-up period ends, all assets will be converted to USDT. BlockBeats reported earlier today that Plasma posted that it has decided to increase the initial deposit limit to $250 million based on community feedback to support fairness, inclusion and broad participation. Personal deposits will be limited to $50 million. Plasma, which previously received a strategic investment from Peter Thiel's Founders Fund, announced in February that it had raised $24 million ($20 million Series A and $4 million in seed) led by Framework Ventures, with participation from crypto trading platform CEX, venture capitalist Peter Thiel, and Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino.
