According to an anonymous government official, the current candidates under consideration include: current Fed Vice Chairman Philip Jefferson and Michelle Bowman, Dallas Federal Reserve Bank President Lorie Logan, former St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank President Jim Bullard, and macroeconomic advisor Mark Zandi. The official also indicated that more candidates from the private sector may be considered.
