10 U.S. senators jointly oppose the latest GENIUS bill
According to Gate.io News bot, crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett reported that 10 US senators issued a joint statement declaring their opposition to the latest GENIUS bill. The statement pointed out that there are deficiencies in the provisions of the bill regarding AML, national security, and the safety of the financial system.
Signatories of the declaration include several senators, including Democrat Ruben Gallego. Among them, four Democratic lawmakers who supported the bill in March have now switched to an opposing stance. The controversy surrounding this bill coincided with news reports regarding the Trump family's profits from encryption projects.
