The intriguing information was shared by the blockchain analysis firm Arkham Intelligence.
According to Arkham's data, Nakamoto's Bitcoin stash constitutes approximately 5.2% of the total supply. This translates to about 1.1 million Bitcoin. Following Bitcoin's recent surge to an all-time high of $111,814, the price is hovering around $110,000. With this value, Nakamoto's wealth has reached approximately $121 billion as of today.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, this fortune ranks behind only tech giants Elon Musk (374 billion dollars), Jeff Bezos (222 billion dollars), and Mark Zuckerberg (222 billion dollars). On the other hand, it surpasses names like Dell founder Michael Dell, Nvidia founder Huang, and Zara's parent company Inditex founder Amancio Ortega.
However, it is not exactly clear how much Bitcoin Nakamoto owns. For example, the BiTBO platform states that Nakamoto has 968,452 Bitcoin. This figure corresponds to approximately 106 billion dollars at current prices, placing him as the 17th richest person in the world.
