Vitalik: The environmental cost of avoiding excessive regional concentration in the encryption industry is acceptable and better than the negative impact of Mining.
PANews July 6 news, Vitalik Buterin responded to a user's views on collective carbon footprints. The user pointed out that "it is normal for industry professionals to fly around the world every year to attend multiple events (temporary cities do not solve this problem), but this behavior is not the actual goal of solving the problem; at best, it is for business, but more often it is for a rather selfish reason, which is to have a good time with friends, while we could choose to meet them in one place." Vitalik responded, saying, "It is acceptable to pay such a price to maintain the globalization of crypto assets, rather than being overly concentrated in one geographic area.
