Jin10 data reported on August 18 that the annual salary of CEOs of companies in the UK FTSE 100 index has reached a record high for the third consecutive year. According to research by the think tank "High Pay Centre," the median salary of CEOs of the 100 largest companies listed on the London Stock Exchange has reached £4.6 million ($6.2 million), which is 122 times that of the average full-time employee in the UK. However, compared to the median salary of CEOs of S&P 500 index companies ($16.8 million), these figures still seem modest. Luke Hildyard, director of the High Pay Centre, stated: "These figures will fuel a growing sense that low and middle-income earners are not receiving their fair share of the wealth created by their work."
