Omdia: It is expected that the shipments of near-eye displays will reach 92.9 million pieces by 2030.
On July 16, Jinshi Data reported that Omdia's latest research shows that the total shipment of XR displays in 2024 will remain stable compared to 2023, and the shipment of near-eye displays will also remain at 17.2 million pieces. However, Vision Pro significantly increases the market share of silicon-based organic light-emitting diode (OLEDoS) displays. Kimi Lin, a senior analyst at Omdia Display Research, said, 'With continuous advancements in display, optical, and other component technologies, Omdia is optimistic about the long-term outlook. It is expected that the shipment of near-eye displays will rise rapidly starting from 2027 and reach 92.9 million pieces by 2030.'
