Renee seeks re-election as President of the Central Bank of Finland and continues to serve on the Board of the European Central Bank

On October 18th, Jinshi Data News, European Central Bank Committee Member and Governor of the Central Bank of Finland, Rehn, is seeking a second seven-year term as Governor of the Central Bank of Finland. Rehn stated, 'If elected, I have enough energy and motivation to continue serving as Governor of the Central Bank of Finland and play a role in the European Central Bank's Governing Council.' The current term of this 62-year-old former European Commission member will last until July 12, 2025. In an earlier statement, the Central Bank of Finland stated that the Parliamentary Supervisory Committee of the Central Bank of Finland has decided to open applications for this position. Rehn is considered one of the neutral members of the European Central Bank's Committee.
