Nawaf Salam was appointed as the Prime Minister of Lebanon
On January 14th, Jinshi Data reported that on the 13th local time, Lebanese President Michel Aoun convened a parliamentary consultation meeting on the selection of a new prime minister at the Babda Palace near Beirut. Najib Mikati has been appointed as the prime minister and will be responsible for forming a new government. Mikati previously served as Lebanon's ambassador to the United Nations and was elected President of the International Court of Justice in February 2024.
