Economists: Core PCE is expected to cool down this week, with the Fed expected to cut interest rates by 25 basis points at the June meeting.
Odaily Planet Daily News, Ameriprise Financial's chief economist, Russell Price, expects a 0.3% monthly rise in overall PCE in December, and a 0.2% monthly rise in core PCE, in line with market expectations. Economists widely expect that core PCE will continue to decline in the coming months, despite sticky service prices still exerting upward pressure on the index.
