On February 21st, Jinshi Data reported that on February 20th local time, former Bolivian President Morales announced that he would join the 'Victory Front' and be the party's sole candidate for the presidential election to be held in August this year. His vice presidential candidate will be determined later. Morales was first elected President of Bolivia in 2005 and was re-elected for many years. In November 2019, Morales resigned due to being involved in election fraud and left Bolivia. Agnes, then the second vice president of the Senate, assumed the temporary presidency. In October 2020, the candidate for the 'Movement for Socialism,' Arce, was elected president. In November of the same year, Morales returned to the country.
