Penson Macro: UK business inflation expectations rise to 3.1% in the next year

Jinsan data news on March 6th, Pan Sen, Chief UK Economist at Pan Sen Macro, said in a report that UK businesses' expectations for inflation in one year have risen from 3.0% in January to 3.1% in February, indicating that the downward trend in inflation has ended. He said: "According to the data from the UK Central Bank decision-making group, with businesses passing on wage tax increases and US President Trump's tariff threats to prices, the deflation has ended." The survey of the UK Central Bank decision-making group also shows that businesses expect the UK Central Bank Intrerest Rate to drop from the current 4.5% to 3.9% in one year.
