T-Mobile pays $33 million in compensation due to SIM card swapping vulnerability.

According to Gate.io News bot, as reported by Bitcoin.com, T-Mobile has been ordered to pay $33 million in a SIM card swapping vulnerability case. This is currently the highest compensation amount known in SIM swapping related cases.

The case originated from a security breach at T-Mobile that led to users falling victim to SIM swapping attacks, resulting in the loss of cryptocurrency assets. T-Mobile has completed the payment of all compensation, which includes $6.5 million in attorney fees, interest, and other costs. Currently, T-Mobile is seeking to seal the details of the case ruling.
