The former CEO of SafeMoon has been found guilty of three felony charges, accused of embezzling millions of dollars in tokens.

According to the Gate News bot, Cointelegraph reported that on May 21, a federal jury in the Eastern District of New York ruled against former SafeMoon CEO Braden John Karony. The jury found Karony guilty of conspiracy to defraud the United States, Money Laundering, and wire fraud.

Prosecution allegations show that Karony, along with former tech officer Thomas Smith and project founder Kyle Nagy, embezzled millions of dollars in SFM tokens in 2023. In this case, Smith has pleaded guilty and testified. The other person involved, Nagy, is currently at large and has allegedly absconded to Russia.
