Participants at the gala dinner organized by U.S. President Donald Trump for TRUMP coin investors received special NFTs via airdrop. The rarest of these NFTs, "Diamond Hands", was sold for about $16,000 yesterday.
NFTs were divided into three groups based on event participation and the duration of holding coins:
The "Power to the Holders" NFT was given only to those who registered.
The "Gold Gala Dinner" NFT was given to 219 participants of the event.
The "Diamond Hands" NFT was given to only 118 people.
The gala dinner was held at the Trump National Golf Club in Washington D.C. However, outside, over 100 demonstrators were calling for an "end to crypto corruption," while some senior Democrats argued that the event left the door open for foreign political influence.
During the event, Morten Christensen, the founder of AirdropAlert, who bought TRUMP coin, stated that he had short-sold the same amount of tokens on other markets to prevent price fluctuations, like many others. However, in a later statement, he mentioned that he was not eligible to receive the "Diamond Hands" NFT because he sold his tokens early.
NFT collections are currently seeing great interest in the second-hand market. According to the transmitted data:
Diamond Hands NFT floor price: 99.9 SOL (~16,000 dollars)
Gold Gala Dinner NFT floor price: 48.15 SOL (~7,700 dollars)
Power to the Holders NFT floor price: 7.6 SOL (~1,200 dollars)
