"Moriusa NFT" surpasses a trading volume of 530 million yen, Coincheck announces handling | CoinDesk JAPAN

Trading Volume of 530 million yen exceeded "Moriusa NFT", Coincheck announced handling

The popular NFT project "Moriusa (もりうさ) NFT" was announced on June 6 to be handled on the NFT marketplace "Coincheck NFT" operated by the cryptocurrency exchange Coincheck.

Moriusa NFT is a project featuring the character "Moriusa," which is inspired by "Nanamori," the leader of the entertainment unit "SutoPuri" produced by STPR.

On the release date of April 24, 2025, the 2222 units prepared were sold out on the same day.

Since then, active secondary trading has occurred among domestic and international NFT holders, and within just over a month of its release, the cumulative Trading Volume has reached 1494 ETH (approximately 530 million yen at the exchange rate as of June 6).

According to STPR, this achievement ranks as the second in the world among NFT collections released in 2025 (based on the trading volume of NFTs issued on Ethereum from January of the same year, between April 28 and May 28).

According to STPR, the handling of Moriusa NFT by Coincheck NFT will make it easier for users in Japan to access this NFT. STPR and Coincheck are also exploring further collaboration possibilities in the crypto space in the future.
