Talk about the trading system

Execution is a millennia-old dilemma for traders. Many friends ask me with charts full of trend lines, support and resistance, moving averages, and MACD: "Can I enter at this position?" With indicators densely packed and multi-timeframe overlays, I get dizzy just looking at them, let alone making decisions. It's like going into battle to attack, but everyone around insists on different opinions—trend lines say to wait, moving averages say to charge, resistance levels shout to break through and enter, while MACD says the signal hasn't arrived yet. The noise makes one's head buzz, and the more tangled it gets, the harder it is to make a decision.

In fact, a simple trading system is more "reliable". The rules are clear, such as breaking a moving average, and then waiting for trendline confirmation before entering the market, with no gray areas. There's no need to ponder repeatedly, making execution smoother and decision-making much easier.

There are too many doorways in the trading system, indicators, entry and exit, stop loss and take profit, and money management, every detail has to be carefully reviewed and tested. The complex system is too hard to review, and it is not easy to complete the measurement, and if a parameter is not right, it has to be reversed and restarted, and the mentality can collapse. The simple system is different, the backtest is fast, the optimization is easy, it can be applied to the actual combat faster, and there are many detours. At the beginning of trading, don't make the system too complicated, and travel lightly to go long-term.
