Ripple CTO reveals His XRP Entry Price: Here is How Much He makes if XRP hits $10
Ripple CTO David Schwartz recently revealed how much he purchased the XRP tokens he holds, confirming his early entry into the market.
Being one of the original architects of the XRP Ledger (XRPL), many expect Schwartz to hold a substantial amount of XRP. Naturally, these individuals expected the Ripple CTO to have received these tokens as a gift for his contribution to the XRPL’s development, but this was not the case.
In fact, Schwartz purchased his own XRP tokens like a normal market participant from the secondary market, and he recently confirmed this when he revealed his entry price.
“Real OGs Caught XRP at $0.5”
For context, XRP continued to change hands at the $0.5 price level for years, giving investors ample opportunity to procure the token at this lower price. Specifically, from April 2022 to November 2025, over the course of three years, XRP persistently retested the $0.5 region
A breakout occurred in November 2025 during the Trump-led market-wide rally. Now, XRP has transcended both the $0.5 and the $1 price levels, holding steady at $2. Amid the recent rally, multiple investors jumped into the market. However, Stedas says only the OGs entered during the struggles at $0.5.
Ripple CTO Bought XRP at $0.006
Interestingly, Schwartz responded to this disclosure, confirming that he procured his own bag at a much lower price. According to the Ripple CTO, his entry point was $0.006, making him a bigger “OG” than even those who bought at $0.5.
For context, Schwartz revealed in a previous disclosure that he did not receive any XRP tokens from the initial distribution. According to him, he opted for Ripple shares instead, a decision he now weighs as XRP is more liquid
Speaking on his XRP holdings last April, Schwartz revealed that he had 26 million XRP at his peak balance. While it is unlikely, supposing he procured these 26 million tokens at the $0.006 entry price, it would have cost him $156,000 to amass them.
Now, with XRP currently changing hands at $2.25, if Schwartz still held these 26 million XRP tokens, his bag would be worth $58.5 million. Interestingly, this would have represented returns of over $58 million. However, it is likely the Ripple CTO has liquidated some of his XRP. While he confirmed he never sold large amounts of his XRP, his current holdings remain a mystery.
