The Bitcoin Thunderbolt Station is used to maintain Mainnet security and provide Mainnet revenue distribution for holding institutions and qualified users. As of today, the station's pre-order phase has concluded. Multiple institutions, family offices, and investment firms participated in the deposit pre-order using BTC, USD1, and BRC-20, Runes, and other Taproot inscription assets for payment, marking the first time that Bitcoin's native assets have been extensively used in Mainnet infrastructure participation scenarios. The second phase of the station will open this week. Qualified institutions and users can start the station and maximize Mainnet revenue by depositing BTC or USD1 and using tsUSD credit. The Bitcoin Thunderbolt is led by early Bitcoin core developers and the Nubit team, and as the only protocol currently supporting native acceleration and stablecoin settlement on the Bitcoin Mainnet, it has handled over 4 million on-chain transactions and surpassed 267,000 independent users in just two months since its launch.
