In my youth, I was overly ambitious, believing that everything would go smoothly and that as long as I wanted something and put in the effort, I could obtain it.

Until I participated in the selection of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was outdone by someone, my world suffered a devastating blow.
A friend said that it's a good thing I didn't go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with my personality; if I did, I might get depression or offend my superiors. They have a point.
But at that time, it seemed to me that life was already over. I was dispirited and felt that no matter how hard I tried, I would not get what I wanted.
I am very lazy right now and just want to lie flat. I don't have a high desire for money or material things. I am not interested in luxury cars or designer bags.
That drive to surpass others and be number one is no longer there.
Not getting married is also because I don't want to put in the effort. If I raise a child, I have to work hard at parenting. Living in this world is quite difficult.
If there is a place that people yearn for, it might be a laid-back place like Northern Europe. After solving the problem of basic needs, everyone just needs to focus on their own matters.
Striving is also about doing what you love, rather than pursuing money and fame.
