BNB Chain, being the world's largest smart contract blockchain, has taken a big step forward by launching the opBNB testnet, an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible L2 chain scalability solution based on Optimism OP Stack.
BNB company talks about the benefits of opBNB in its press release on Monday. opBNB stands out with its capabilities that aim to reduce congestion and reduce transaction costs by moving transactions to the 2nd layer. Using the fully optimized Optimistic Rollup technology, opBNB offers enhanced scalability and usability, maintaining a similar level of security as L1.
