Surpassing Ethereum! Solana leaps to the 'fastest-growing developer community' in the Cryptocurrency ecosystem

According to the latest report released by venture capital firm Electric Capital, Solana has become the blockchain that attracts the most new developers this year, and its rising speed has surpassed Ethereum for the first time, rewriting the record since 2016, allowing this high-speed, low-cost blockchain platform to once again take the spotlight.

The report pointed out that this year, there were 39,148 new developers entering the cryptocurrency field, of which 7,625 chose to develop on Solana, with a year-on-year growth rate of up to 83%, which also made Solana surpass Ethereum for the first time in terms of developer growth rate.

Ethereum is still the leader in global developer numbers, with Solana closely following behind

Despite the rapid rise of Solana, Ethereum remains the most densely developed blockchain globally, with the highest number of developers in North America, South America, Asia, Europe, and Africa. The total number of developers for Ethereum ranks first, while Solana ranks second.

The report suggests that the surge in the number of Solana developers is closely related to the rise in on-chain activity, especially with the influx of a large number of new users into Solana driven by the meme coin frenzy. Platforms like Pump.fun have made meme coin issuance easier, prompting developers to join this wave of ecosystem prosperity.

In addition to Solana's impressive performance, other Blockchains are also attracting developers to show strong momentum. The report pointed out that Aptos, Base, Bitcoin, Internet Computer, NEAR, Polkadot, Polygon, Starknet, and Sui Blockchains have each added more than 1,000 developers this year; while BNB Chain, Optimism, Scroll, Stellar, and TON have also attracted over 500 developers to join the ecosystem.
