Abstract generation in progress

The amount of Ethereum (ETH) staked has reached a new all-time high (ATH) as the price of this asset regained its highest level in 12 days amid major institutions increasing their accumulation.

Specifically, this figure on the Beacon Chain reached an all-time high of 34.65 million ETH on Sunday, surpassing the previous high on November 10, 2024.

The amount of ETH staked has been relatively stable, maintaining above 33 million over the past year. However, according to data from the Beaconcha.in network explorer, this number began to rise again in June.

A higher staking level indicates that many holders are not willing to sell at the current level; instead, they prefer the yield from staking.

The analysis platform Dune Analytics has confirmed a record number, reporting that 34.8 million ETH has been staked as of Monday, while Ultrasound.Money reported 34.7 million.

The analysis platform also reported that the current number of coins staked is equivalent to 28.7% of the circulating supply of ETH, which is 120.8 million, as the issuance has returned to the inflation rate in February.

Staking ETF launching soon?

This milestone is also achieved when the industry predicts that the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will approve the Ethereum staking spot ETF.

Analysts have suggested that Ethereum staking ETFs could launch "in the coming weeks," after ETF provider REX Shares recently filed using "regulatory alternatives."

Meanwhile, BlackRock's leading iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) is ramping up its accumulation of this asset with 23 consecutive trading days without any outflows, according to data from Farside Investors.

ETH price reaches the highest level in 2 weeks

The amount of ETH staked has increased by 77% over the past 2 years, although the price of this asset has not been very promising, rising only about 50% during the same period but still has not reached a new all-time high.

However, the price of ETH has risen over 8% during the day to reclaim the $2,700 level on Tuesday, the highest price since May 29, nearly two weeks ago, before dropping back down as of the time of writing.
