According to Deep Tide TechFlow news, on June 13, the world's first AI-Agent and AIUGC creator and fan economy ecological community focused on the entertainment field, MEET48, announced that it will officially launch the 1st Web3.0 Global Idol Annual Popularity Selection (The 1st MEET48 All-Community Annual Idol Popularity Audition & Ceremony, referred to as WIPA) today at 14:00 UTC+8. Overseas fans will vote through the MEET48 app and official website to select the first TOP16 idols. The final voting will officially close on August 2 at 12:00 UTC+8, and the final results will be announced on the same day at the WIPA annual grand selection performance and award ceremony (held concurrently with the annual youth gala of global strategic partner SNH48 GROUP) at the AsiaWorld-Expo Arena in Hong Kong, China.
This is the world's first pioneering attempt to introduce blockchain mechanisms into the idol selection system. Members of SNH48 GROUP, mainly from Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other Asian countries and regions, along with real idols, AI Agent groups, and representative groups from the virtual human field, will participate in this coronation ceremony to compete for the glory opportunity belonging to the TOP16 idols, including exclusive singles, overseas stages, and game endorsements.
It is reported that overseas fans can participate in voting in four ways—directly using $IDOL, using $IDOL or diamonds to purchase scorecards, going to the corresponding live room on the MEET48 App to give gifts, and obtaining scorecards through other means.
