Famous businessman makes a new purchase: bought Bitcoin, sent an altcoin message

Ricardo Salinas, the 3rd richest businessman in Mexico with a net worth of over 6 billion dollars, stated that he made a significant purchase in Bitcoin. In an interview with Kitco News, Salinas also expressed that he continues to hold both Bitcoin and gold.

"I'm 70% in Bitcoin... Metals don't go anywhere..."

As he explained before, Salinas stated that the vast majority of his investments are in Bitcoin, and that the remaining investments are in gold, and also mentioned that many metals, including silver, have hardly increased at all:

"70% Bitcoin was the right decision. We can see this. Recently, I also made a purchase at a significant rate and increased the quantity. There's no need to look at the price of Bitcoin. A large part of the 70% is in Bitcoin, but a very small part is in mining companies... The majority of gold is in physical gold. A very small part is also in gold mining companies... I don't have any silver, nor do I have any other metals. They never appreciate anyway..."

"Stablecoins have taught us a lot"

Salinas, who also mentioned the interest in stable coins in recent times, said, "Stable coins have been used a lot for peer-to-peer transfers without a bank account. You can do this without any difficulty. It has provided great convenience for those without bank accounts. It has taught people a lot in terms of financial freedom."

"Tokenizing gold is better than paper gold"

Salinas, who also touched upon the subject of tokenization, stated, "There is a future in tokenization and blockchain technology. I think tokenized gold is much better than paper gold, that is, ETFs... We will see this."

"I steer clear of altcoins"

Salinas, who stated that he only bought Bitcoin in cryptocurrencies, described altcoins as "shitcoins" and said the following:

"There are Bitcoin and others in crypto. Altcoins are actually 'shitcoins'. I only buy Bitcoin. The others are scams... I stay away from these coins. I never buy them."

"Bitcoin is freedom..."

The famous businessman, who stated that Bitcoin protects the people from government theft, said, "Bitcoin is freedom, but with freedom comes responsibility. You must not kill or steal... Apart from that, Bitcoin makes you free. It protects people and communities from government intervention and theft."
