Trump signs resolution to abolish encryption tax rules
According to the Gate.io News bot, TheBlock reported that US President Trump signed a resolution to abolish encryption tax rules. This rule was established by the Biden administration at the end of its term, stipulating that "accomplice brokers" must collect and report user transaction data to the IRS, while also distributing 1099 forms to users for reporting non-employment income.
This repeal resolution was introduced by Republican members Ted Cruz and Mike Carey and has been passed by both houses of Congress. The U.S. Department of the Treasury previously made it clear that the rule applies to front-end service providers that interact directly with users and operate access to the main websites of decentralized protocols, rather than the protocols themselves.
