Trump's birthday parade will be held on Saturday, with "No Kings" protests erupting simultaneously in 2,000 cities across the United States.

This Saturday, June 13 (June 14) coincides with the 250th anniversary of the founding of the U.S. Army, Trump's 79th birthday and the Day of the American Flag. At the same time, Trump's opponents also want to stage a larger national protest that day. Progressive groups, including the American Civil Liberties Union, the American Federation of Teachers, Planned Parenthood and Senator Bernie Sanders' campaign office, are planning peaceful protests in more than 2,000 locations across the country. The demonstrations, known as "No Kings Day," are aimed at countering what organizers say is Mr. Trump's overreach. Event leaders expect attendance to surpass the "Hands Off" protests in April, which drew at least 3.5 million people. It would likely be the largest opposition demonstration in Trump's second term, rivaling the Women's March in his first term. Trump has already warned this week that protesters will be subjected to "very strong force" during his military parade. The Pentagon says the cost of the presidential parade could be as high as $45 million. (Golden Ten)
