The Chief of Staff of the Brazilian Vice President supports the establishment of a national Bitcoin reserve.

According to Gate.io News bot, Decrypt reported that Brazil's Vice President's Chief of Staff, Pedro Giocondo Guerra, spoke at a congressional event about establishing a national Bitcoin reserve. He pointed out that creating a "strategic sovereign Bitcoin reserve" is an important issue "concerning the public interest." Guerra described Bitcoin as the "gold of the internet," emphasizing its tool attributes in global wealth transfer and storage.

Previously, a member of the Brazilian Liberal Party submitted a new bill to Congress, proposing that the government allocate no more than 5% of its foreign exchange reserves in Bitcoin.
